At Splendere Australian Shepherds, our commitment is to preserve and improve the breed through thoughtful, ethical, and responsible breeding. Every breeding decision is made with the goal of producing dogs that are exceptional in health, temperament, structure, and versatility—Australian Shepherds that are equally capable of succeeding in the show ring, performance events, and as devoted family companions.
Our dogs are first and foremost members of our family. We do not operate a traditional kennel—our dogs live in our home, are raised with daily interaction, and receive individualized care, training, and enrichment. By intentionally keeping our program small, we are able to devote the time, attention, and love that each dog deserves. |
We believe that family is forever. Our dogs remain with us long after their breeding and show careers have ended. Retirement simply marks the beginning of a new chapter, not the end of their place in our family. Every dog is treasured for who they are, not just for what they accomplish.

Meet the Breeder

Ashley has been passionate about Australian Shepherds for over 11 years, dedicating herself to preserving the breed through responsible breeding, training, and conformation competition. What began as a love for dogs quickly grew into a lifelong commitment to the Australian Shepherd breed, with a focus on producing structurally sound, healthy, and versatile dogs that excel both in the show ring and as beloved family companions.
Outside of the dog world, Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College. While her professional career centers around helping people, her lifelong passion has always included animals—especially Australian Shepherds. |

Throughout her journey in the breed, Ashley has been fortunate to learn from respected breeders, handlers, and mentors whose guidance has shaped her breeding program and deepened her appreciation for preserving breed type, temperament, and soundness. Over the past decade, she has actively participated in conformation, earning championship titles with owner-handled and breeder-owner-handled dogs while continuing to expand her knowledge through every dog she breeds, raises, and shows.
The name Splendere, derived from Italian, holds special meaning. Not only does it honor Ashley's Italian heritage, but it also means "to shine." The name pays tribute to her original kennel, Rise and Shine, while representing the next chapter of her breeding program. Although the kennel name has evolved, the vision remains the same: to produce exceptional Australian Shepherds that embody the breed standard in structure, movement, temperament, and versatility.
